Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada is an actress most well-known for her role as Bo on the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was created by Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk who was known as an accomplished actor and director. He was also a writer, teacher, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials as a young child. The year 1997 was the time she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Her early theater experience includes two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was a resident of Toronto in her quest to act and advance, then she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she began to meet him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged in 2009, and then married at an unofficial ceremony in December. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows in a Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk had a child who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13, 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in May 2016. Silk's television work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. Silk was cast in the lead role as Bo Dennis, a succubus as seen as Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was expecting while shooting the final season of the third series. Silk announced her pregnancy to fans during her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk announced on Twitter on 20 June 2013, that production was underway for Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for the Fourth season.
